OUR MISSION
"The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name's sake. Even though I walk through the darkest valled, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of y life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever" - Psalm 23
So here we are, after being away for ten years, we're all so excited to be returning back to Bangkok this summer. It's going to be a blend of leisure and purpose as we'll be giving vision care to help a non-profit called Nightlight International as well as exploring all the sights and sounds of Thailand. Also, we're very excited to show Siam where he was born as well... so it will be really cool to see the experience through his eyes.
Let's take off! ✈️

THE FLIGHT
We're excited and ready to fly to Bangkok but not as excited and ready for the 16 hr flight from New York to Hong Kong with a 5 hour layover and another 2 hr flight to Bangkok.
A suitcase packed with glasses from a Brooklyn optometry office en route to Bangkok
We're all ready for the flight.
And... we're getting destroyed.
Layover in Hong Kong
Finally arrived in Bangkok. We're delirious.
Annnnnnnnnnd We're Back
We're back in Bangkok and it's incredible. Right when we stepped off the plane all the feels came back... the Thai smell in the air was nostalgic and we're extremely excited to be returning to this beautiful city.
Land of cars and scooters, scooters and cars, rain or shine.
Downy's parents were there ahead of us to set up our place so it was a warm welcome from the beginning. Siam got to try fruit he's never had before... pomelo, dragon fruit, mangosteens. As well as Thai street food; which is amazing.

90% of the time, Thai food is eaten with spoon and fork... NOT chopsticks.
